Stressful times..

Yes it’s that time of year again when summer is just around the corner and all the deadlines are drawing closer… We all know the feeling, panic starts to set home.

How long is it till the first assessment is in? Really then, are you sure?

This is a stressful time, staring blankly at the computer screen I must complete x amount words before the day becomes night.

This will happen but as the pressure mounts an hour or two passes and you find yourself 50 words on staring at the nearly almost blank word document.

I truly believe that pressure affects us in many different ways; many perform to a better ability and the likes of me well I crack.

Deadline the dreaded word… As we approach hand in dates, all will be well and work will be complete.

I will not stress, pressure will not affect me… and I will not crack!

Deadlines they will be done!

P.S- Let’s all be done and have a PARRTTYY!!

Much love to all

Thousands Hit London

Its is upon us once again the London Marathon

Thousands of runners including charities and celebrities are turning out for the largest single fundraising event in the world.

About 35,000 runners are expected to turn up for the race, the race which is 26.2 miles began this morning with bright conditions.

Runners taking part include celebrities Katie Price and Peter Andre who have been training hard for the race. Reports claim that Katie has taken this very seriously and has enforced a sex ban, as she does not want to jeopardise her performance in the race.

Other celebrities include Chef Gordon Ramsay, who is running his tenth marathon.
Chef Ramsay said: "It's time for a celebration. We're fighting a global credit crunch, and in terms of coming out and having fun, it costs nothing to come and watch".

Major Phil Packer, a paraplegic who was crippled in a rocket attack in the Iraqi last year hopes to complete the race in 13 days and raise £1m for the charity Help The Heroes.

Maj Packer will run the walk on crutches and aims to complete two miles per day; this will be a great achievement for Maj. Packer who was told he might not walk ever again after the accident.

For the elite athletes taking part the favourite is reigning champion Irina Mikitenko of Germany. British favourite Paula Radcliffe will not be taken part due to a broken toe, our hopes now faded.

Male favourite is Kenyan runner Sammy Wanjiru to take the title after defending champion Martin Lel had to withdraw on Saturday after suffering a hip injury.

Let’s hope the day is a success and raises money and awareness for all charities involved!

Much love

P.s All the best to the brave competitors!

Goldberg's Divine Right

As we approach May the highly anticipated stage show is to open in the West End.

Whoopi Goldberg and Stage Entertainment have joined forces to produce the premiere of Sister Act, a new musical comedy based on the international hit movie.

The show will open at the London Palladium on Tuesday 2 June 2009 with previews from Wednesday 6 May.

The musical which first premiered in the US in 2006, opening in Pasadena, California now to premiered at the West End with the promise of success.

After the first week tickets were released for sale 1million in bookings were taken at London Palladium box office. This equates to over 25,000 seats booked for the highly awaited production.

With the announcement that Whoopi Goldberg will co-produce the musical this must have only helped the sales increase.

Whoopi Goldberg is a well known global performer. She shot to fame with her Oscar-nominated performance in Steven Spielberg’s, ‘The colour purple’ which then lead her to phenomenal Hollywood career with films such as Jumpin’ Jack Flash, The Lion King and many more.

The music produced by Alan Menken, eight-time Oscar winner along with Glenn Slater who are long time collaborators.

If the success of many other musicals from screen to stage is to go by then ‘Sister Act’ looks as if it will be extremely popular and in demand for the next coming years.

I know that I definitely want to see it!

Much love

P.s- Whoopi G = Legend

Cheryl Cole hits number # 1

Time to celebrate guys and girls, Cheryl has hit number 1.

For those who love Cheryl Cole will only believe this is another achievement after her distressing year.

Mrs Cole has beaten off some of the most beautiful women in the world, yes ‘world’ to be polled as FHM number one most sexiest woman of the year 09.

She has beaten off the likes of the stunning Jessica Alba and the gorgeous Megan Fox.

This is not only achievement for Cheryl but the British public as we always seemed to be piped to the poll by the yanks.

On a final note, the beautiful Jane McDonald who is simply fabulous was polled at 910 out of the 1000 women.

Much love

P.s- You deserve it Cheryl.

Ryanair causing a stir again!

Why is it that Ryanair always like to cause a bit of controversy?

Ryanair are seriously considering introducing ‘fat tax’ for overweight passengers.
So is this another money making scheme from the heads of the company?

The low cost airline is considering to introduce an excess charge for very large
passengers or even make them purchase another seat.

This comes after 30,000 people voted in favour of the measure on the website.
The poll was taken from 100,000 people suggesting cost cutting ideas.

This shows that 1 in 3 people thought it would be a good idea to charge overweight people extra. I’m not to sure if I entirely agree with this idea or if it is just Ryanair making a quick buck.

Your thoughts are very much welcome?

Much love to all

P.s- Ryanair does know how to shake it up!
